Fraumünster
A church on the Limmat built on the site of an abbey for noblewomen founded in 853 by Louis the German for his daughter Hildegard. Its choir is lit by five tall stained glass windows by Marc Chagall.

Grossmünster
A Romanesque church by the Limmat with twin towers, built from around 1100 on the site of a church that legend says Charlemagne ordered. It is one of the four main churches of Zurich, and it was here that the Reformation in Switzerland began under Zwingli.

Lake Zurich
A long, narrow lake stretching southeast from the city of Zurich toward the Alps. The Seedamm causeway at Rapperswil splits it in two, with the upper part known as the Obersee, and boats link the towns along both shores.
