The Breakers
A 70-room summer house built for Cornelius Vanderbilt II between 1893 and 1895, on the cliffs above the Atlantic in Newport. It is the grandest of the Gilded Age mansions along the town's shore, with interiors in the manner of an Italian Renaissance palazzo.
