Beopjusa
A head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism on the slopes of Songnisan, in Naesongni-myeon, Boeun County. Its five storey wooden pagoda, Palsangjeon, is the tallest of its kind in Korea, and a large bronze Buddha stands in the grounds.

Songnisan National Park
A mountain and national park in the Sobaek Mountains along the border between North Gyeongsang and North Chungcheong Provinces. Its main attractions are the temple Beopjusa and the picturesque peak Munjangdae, and its forested trails draw many hikers each autumn.

A major mountain of the Sobaek range, whose highest peak, Yeongbong, is 1,094 metres above sea level. It forms part of the boundary between North Chungcheong and North Gyeongsang Provinces, and lies in Woraksan National Park.
